Highway A1 – A35

Issues on the highway A1-A35 in the eastern part of the Netherlands range from unsafe parking zones, criminal activities on parking zones, adjacent business areas and districts (hit & run offences) up to exceptional traffic jams because of restrictions for public cargo transport taking place on holidays in Germany or intense traffic caused by bargain days in adjacent shopping malls.
Various organizations involved (public and private) separately launch initiatives to decrease / manage these issues. Stakeholder parties are facilitated in executing a thorough problem analysis, analyse the various initiatives on effectiveness and complementarity, inventorise ‘best practices’ and the development of a common accepted, integral systems of provision to be taken.

This systems of provisions is based on combined competences and responsibilities of participating parties. Besides proven initiatives and provisions, if necessary, new provisions can be worked during the process. Therefore research projects to develop knowledge in ‘unknown’ areas or the development of implementation / change programs can also be a result of the facilitation process.
